Service to the Community:

  • 2013-2020 Former Florida State Chair, National Association of Women Judges (NAWJ).
  • 2012 Co-chaired the National NAWJ Conference in Miami.
  • Led NAWJ The Color of Justice initiative, bringing speakers to the students into the courtroom and coordinating panel discussions with judges and lawyers.
  • Founder and Co-Chair of the The North Dade Justice Center Law Day in Miami-Dade County, an annual event promoting civic education.
  • Co-founded the North Dade Justice Center Partnership Program with The Alonzo and Tracy Mourning High School Law Academy, to encourage students’ understanding of the law and the US justice system.
  • Held role of Associate Administrative Judge, County Court Civil Division. (Served on the Pandemic Task Force during COVID-19 to maintain court continuity via virtual technology.)
